Abrasive Clay Bar – Intensive Decontamination for Heavily Weathered Surfaces
The Koch-Chemie Rkr abrasive clay bar is designed for intensive cleaning of heavily weathered and contaminated smooth surfaces. It effectively removes stubborn deposits such as tree resin, insect remains, tar, rust bloom, industrial fallout, spray mist and limescale stains.
Unlike mild clay bars, this abrasive clay bar is specifically developed for deep decontamination. Therefore, it is ideal for surfaces that require significant correction before polishing.
Ideal for Pre-Polishing Preparation
Over time, paintwork and glass accumulate bonded contaminants that cannot be removed by normal washing. As a result, polishing performance may be reduced.
The abrasive clay bar eliminates these bonded residues and prepares the surface for subsequent polishing steps. However, because of its abrasive properties, polishing is required after treatment.
It is not recommended for new or freshly painted surfaces.
Suitable Surfaces
-
Heavily weathered paintwork
-
Automotive glass
-
Smooth exterior surfaces
Application Instructions
-
Firstly, wash and clean the surface thoroughly using appropriate cleaning products.
-
Then shape the clay into a palm-sized piece.
-
Spray Clay Spray lubricant evenly onto the surface.
-
Gently move the abrasive clay bar across the surface without applying pressure until it feels smooth.
-
Knead contaminated clay into the inside until a clean surface is exposed.
-
The clay can be reused until it is almost saturated with dirt particles.
-
To prevent drying out, moisten the clay after use and store it in its container.
Finishing Process
After claying, polish the treated paintwork using:
-
Power Cut or Feinschleifpaste
-
Hochglanz-Antihologramm-Politur (if required)
Finally, seal the surface with Lack-Polish grün, 1K-Nano or a suitable protective product.
